Practice Activities
- Whilst brand manuals do not need to be specifically taught for R094, they provide a useful exercise to practice the key concepts.
- Resource includes:
- R094 Visual Identity Revision Poster below
- Teacher presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint format
- Student tasks (Microsoft Word format)
- Questions based on a fictitious economy airline brand that help students to revise the key concepts in visual identity.
- Keywords at the bottom of the slide with meanings to help scaffold learners
- Chilli icons to help show how challenging the task may be
- File is a Microsoft PowerPoint file so can be edited
- Resource also comes with editable answers in a Microsoft PowerPoint file
- Created specifically to support lower-ability and SEN students access the higher mark bands by helping them to understand how to justify.
- Includes lesson presentation, three tasks (one of which is interactive), a cue card sheet and plenary.
- The interactive exercise are in HTML5 and SCORM formats
Knowledge Maps & Keywords
- Mimicking a transport map, this summarises the keywords/content for R094.
- Students could use them whilst practising for their coursework units as well as it reminds them of what to think about for some of the criteria.
- Created in A3 so can be printed as A4 or used as part of a display!

- Ten starter/plenaries you can use with your class
- Supplied in a PowerPoint presentation as well as PDF, not editable
- Designed for R094 in J834 specification but could be used with R082 as well
Revision & Other Activities
- This first pack contains 10 tasks that could be used for cover, as part of a lesson or for revision.
- The resources comes with a booklet version and also the individual tasksheets.
- All files are PDFs.
A crib sheet to help students remember how to produce mind maps, mood boards, visualisation diagrams and concept sketches.
I used this when results from my initial lessons showed they had to completely grasped everything that was needed.
Resource includes:- A lesson to help reinforce the planning documentation required in R094, emphasising the level of detail needed.
- The aim is to help provide more structure for lower-ability students or those with SEN but could be useful for all students.
- The resource includes:
- crib sheet (A3 but can be printed A4);
- crib sheet with student task;
- blank tempates with no task;
- teacher presentation to support the lesson (with some slide notes);
- example solution;
- peer mark scheme.
